SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP (SPMU) IN MILTON KEYNES
One question we get asked a lot is: what is the difference between PMU and SPMU? To put it simply: there is no difference. PMU and SPMU both refer to the same treatments, and whether it is referred to as permanent or semi-permanent usually comes down to what the individual artist prefers to call it.
Permanent makeup and semi-permanent makeup usually both refer to microblading or micropigmentation treatments. Microblading involves using a manual hand tool to deposit pigment into the skin and is usually exclusive to eyebrow treatments. Micropigmentation involves using a digital PMU machine and needle cartridges to implant pigment, and it can be used across multiple treatments such as brows, lips, eyeliner, scalp, and areola.
What is micropigmentation?
Micropigmentation is similar to microblading, but much better!
Lasting 1-3 years (unlike microblading which is only 12-18 months), micropigmentation is longer lasting, kinder to the skin, more natural colour and can give either hair strokes effect or shading/ ombré effect. Less trauma also means less pain and a quicker healing time too!
Micropigmentation is also suitable for ALL skin types (including oily), ages (including older clients with thinner skin) and ALL skin colours!
Micropigmentation lasts up to 3 years (unlike microblading which is only 12-18months), and is suitable for ALL skin colours, ALL skin types, ALL ages (inc clients with thin skin) and is kinder to the skin - less trauma means no scar tissue and a quicker healing time too! Micropigmentation enables us to tailor-make the pigment to you individually and can give either a natural hair-stroke effect, powder (like makeup) or an ombre/ shading result.
