WILL I RECEIVE A CONSULTATION PRIOR TO TREATMENT?

Yes, all appointments, regardless of the treatment you have booked for, begin with a thorough consultation. The fee for your consultation is redeemable against the cost of your treatment should you wish to go ahead with it at the time of your booking. At Gallery Medispa Milton Keynes, we take a holistic approach, considering patients concerns and expectations and supporting the patient before and after the treatment.

At Gallery Medispa, we believe that it is important that patient support starts with pre-treatment consultation, whereby the patient is fully prepared and comfortable in the hands of the practitioner, and most importantly in order to understand the patients aesthetic goals and expectations. Our patients must be assessed for suitability and provided the correct amount of information for them to make an informed decision.

CAN I HAVE DERMAL FILLERS AT THE SAME TIME?

Yes, more than one area of dermal filler can be treated in the same appointment, dependent upon assessment and suitability which will be determined a the time of your consultation, prior to your treatment.

In fact sometimes we tear trough filler, we advise that the Midface be treated before/ at the same time, dependent upon the individual and if there is Midface volume loss. If there is Midface volume loss, this may be necessary to have treated prior/ at the same time as the under eye hollowing. 
 
Did you know that we offer dermal filler packages? These filler packages can often work out to be more cost-effective than booking individual areas to be treated. 
 
You can choose to add certain amount of filler or anti-wrinkle treatments, in the desired areas with professional and honest advice from our medical practitioner.

RISKS & SIDE EFFECTS

You may experience minor lumpiness, swelling, puffiness or bruising even in experienced hands. More rarely the injections can cause longer lasting redness under the eye, and of course localised and temporary swelling and inflammation for a couple of days – as it’s a sensitive area! There are also reported side effects outside of our practice such as a bluish tinge under the skin from it being injected too superficially. It is a non permanent filler so complications will usually improve and resolve with time, if you are unlucky enough to get one. All of the tear trough fillers we use are fully reversible, instantly. Final results will be visible around 2 weeks post procedure. You will be provided with complete aftercare and if you are concerned about anything, please contact us.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

Appointments take around 30-45 minutes. This includes an in-depth consultation, treatment and complete aftercare advice. The treatment itself is very quick.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

For tear trough filler, sometimes one treatment is enough. However occasionally multiple treatments will be necessary to achieve your desired results.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

Bruising can happen, albeit rare, however there are also steps you can take to minimise this which we will advise in our pre and post care information, although no practitioner can guarantee against such.  Immediately after treatment your skin may appear red and feel a little sore. There may also be some mild swelling but this will subside within a couple of days. 
Each patient is an individual and everyone will react differently, however we do our best at all times to ensure the most comfortable and positive experience for every patient that chooses us at Gallery Aesthetics.
You will be sent full pre and post treatment care prior to your appointment.

DOES IT TREAT HYPERPIGMENTATION UNDER THE EYES?

Although the grooves under the eyes are filled, and can help alleviate mild shadowing – strong hyper-pigmentation (and especially in darker skins) will likely not be eliminated by dermal filler. Dermal filler will fill in the crescent-shaped depression under the eye, and not change its colour necessarily.  Despite this, filling this area can help the appearance of the dark grooves by less shadows being cast under the eye area, and by reflecting the light better. Similarly dermal filler will only help disguise bags under the eyes caused by muscle/ fat herniation.
